London-Exeter Partnership

At the London-Exeter Partnership, our vision is to train and develop critically reflective teachers who are passionate about education.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with the University of Exeter to offer a unique teacher training programme spanning Devon and the vibrant East London Borough of Tower Hamlets, leading to a PGCE in primary education through the School Direct route.

The School Direct @ Exeter route provides a fantastic opportunity for you to study your taught PGCE programme as part of the OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ provision at the University of Exeter, which is ranked 3rd amongst university providers of teacher training.  

The rest of the training takes place in the classroom, where you will be learning from teachers and working directly with pupils from the outset in one of our highly regarded schools located in high-performing London borough of Tower Hamlets.

Harry Gosling Primary is the lead school in partnership along with Manorfield Primary, Stepney Park Primary and Stephen Hawking School. During your placement, you will gain experience in successful primary schools who all share a common goal of exceptional education for children and a strong commitment to developing you as a future teacher.
